Hello there!

I used to have a third-party app installed on my N3220
that worked with my Gmail account perfectly, but I deleted it and cant find it on the web anymore.
The official Gmail for mobile app doesnt support N3220.

But I guess if I set the phone's built-in email client
(in the N3220 menu found under Messages, E-mail) the communication must work!

Built-in client automatically uses settings that I set under
Settings, Configuration settings, Personal configuration settings, Add new, E-mail.

Gmail supports both POP3 and IMAP
and the basic settings can be found on the web (links below).

What should I choose? IMAP or POP?

And how to set the more complicated items like SMTP secure login,
Access points, not to mention Proxy settings, Data Bearer etc.

I would appreciate detailed description how to set these items up.

I would not bother posting this if I knew how to solve my problem. Nokia e-mail configuration Tool is no help since it shows the message "Phone isn't connected" every time I try to send my configuration sms. (Phone connected via CA-42 cable, connection clearly is established). Well, for me, this forum is no help.
