I've just upgraded from an E71 to E72.  I have a Gmail and a Virgin.net mail accounts which I set up via the E72 set up wizard.  When I receive an email with an attachment, (tried various types, jpeg, word, pdf etc), and try to open that attachment it says 'downloading 0%' then it wipes that email and any others from the inbox never to be found again.  Also I am then unable to retrieve those emails via Outlook on my PC even though they still remain in my account inbox on the providers server.

Pop my SIM back into my old E71 and everything works fine with all attachments.

The E72 is fully updated with all firmware / software options.  The Gmail is on IMAP and the Virgin account is POP3 everything is activated as it should be.

I spent several hours with customer support, (Vodafone and Nokia), who eventually replaced the handset but this new one does the same as the last and no one can give me an answer.

Any ideas, I really need this phone for business.............

I've got the same problem with E72 (upgraded recently from E71). My hotmail account won't send and receive anything and my nltworld.com can't download attachments then wipes the email. All the settings are correct. 

Seems like the E72 has a software problem witch NOKIA don't bother to get sorted.

Very disappointed with the handset.
