When i receive texts my contacts names dont display on the notification, only the number is displayed. does anybody know how to solve this??

What about calls ? Try this ..

1. Check for any duplicate entries in the contact list

and

2. Delete as many messages as possible from the Messaging folder (Received/Sent/Draft..)

Its fine for calls.

Duplicate contacts is not the problem, i deleted all contacts from bot my sim and memory card. They are just stored on the phone memory.

There isonly 100 messages in the inbox so cant see memory being the issue either.

Its fine when it is in the  active standby mode but when it is in the basic idle mode thats when it doesnt show the name.

Is this a problem with all E72s??

I am having the same problem with my EZ1X. Did you ever gind a solution to this? It is getting nerve racking for me.

I am having the same problem with the Nokia N63, when I receive a text or call, most of the times the name does not appear.......Its really fraustrating cus than I have to as the person to give me his name.

Image 1 is the screenshot of the home page, it shows the name of the sender correctly but doesnot show the correct time
Image 2 shows the inbox view where neither the name is appearing nor the time is correct.
