Beginning to think the E72 is last on list, does anyone know of any other devices that have had the update?
Nokia...Why isn't your flag ship messaging device the first to get the update? Why don't you publish a release schedule?

Sorry, but this might be a false alarm. When my email synced, it only synced Monday and Tuesday of last week. Back to my iPhone.

- The predictive email address lookup that fired when typing into the recipients field does not work any more. You need to press the centre button whilst in the To: field to access your contacts and select that way. Just typing in the field invites you to connect to your exchange server and search the global address book.
- Signatures, only the first two characters of the first line appear if your signature has multiple lines and you are forwarding an html email to another recipient. How weird is that!
Still work in progress with the testing but I think there may be a bug with replying to long email address as well but will report back later. If anyone has any other issues with V22 please post them, thanks.Cliff.
Same issue on the E72 with firmware .23.
Another issue that i faced when predictive address lookup was working - none of the emails ever got Delivered. They bounced with an error message reading something like "address has whitespace". Pl note most of the contacts have more than one email address and the entire phone book has been synced via pc suite from outlook.

I have the same problem with mfe 2003 and my e72. I have several replies from nokia support telling me to dowload new version of mfe. but this is not possible for e72 since it is built in, you cannot download it in ovi store. It seems they do not understand there own product. It is really frustrating. After few months mfe is still not working on my e72.
this means it is a pos device regarding mfe use.
i really hope nokia wakes up and fixes this stupid arrogant 2003 issue.

I'm very annoyed that this issue has not been resolved. Despite the firmware update in Feb and also having tried numerous suggestions on this forum (i.e.. deleting all folders, syncing and then reloading) my E72 still fails to sync with Exchange 2003. It regularly crashes and freezes whilst attempting to sync. The only way to force a sync is to restart the phone.
There was a lot of willingness to be patient with this one but after nearly 4 months with the phone my patience has run out. If it doesn't do the basic thing I bought it for what is the point!
Wake up Nokia. The vast majority of businesses still use Exchange 2003. You need to fix this fast. I'm on the verge of binning my E72 and buying a BlackBerry !!!

With Firmware 22.007 MfE with my corporate Exchange 2003 email is working fine. Predictive address works, so does the remote corporate contact list search and new email notification usually gets in 5 o 10 seconds before it does to my PC's Outlook.
The only issue I'm having is that it doesn't update inbox in off-peak hours. As I said Push is working fine in peak but I've set fetch email every 4 hours in off-peak and it doesn't do that at all: doesn't try before the next peak period starts.

Hi Markilou
I have the same firmware update as you but "push" has never worked properly. It works for the short period after the phone has been restarted then gets stuck. When I make other changes (i.e.. deleting emails) it also fails to sync, despite being set for peak sync schedule most of the day. When I try to manually sync (with Z) it crashes the phone and has to be restarted.
All other devices (PCs/laptops) are syncing without problems. My wife's phone is the same model (E72) and she has the same trouble as mine with out exchange server.

I also have this firmware update Markilou, but it doesn't sync **bleep** with exchange 2003...........

I don't want to jump the gun but I think I have found a workaround for this issue last couple of days. Based on another issue I was having with the phone - it was repeatedly asking whether to connect via contract internet, WAP or my in-home wireless network I disabled the feature to "always ask" in the advanced setting for every mailbox (for both send and receive for non-exchange accounts). I set it to default to "contract internet". I also changed this setting in the browser.
This eliminated the annoying dialogues that were popping up continually prompting me to choose a connection type. This was sometimes preventing me from answering calls and using other phone functions until a selection was made.
A very pleasant side effect of this is that my sync with Exchange 2003 is now working completely uninterrupted. I suspect now that it is the annoying dialogue box which is causing the connection with Exchange to hang. My phone has now been behaving perfectly for about a day and half. If it goes back to its old ways I will post again but would suggest all other with this problem give this a try. I can live with not having the option to use my wireless network - this is certainly better than having non-functioning business emails!

Emails being truncated or chopped.
Most worrying of all is the fact that sometimes in a forward or reply to an email, some of the new message is truncated! Has anyone else seen this? It was quite prevalent before V22 but seemed to have gone away with the new firmware however, I have had two occasions where the email is truncated. Can't use email if it chops messages of when sending.
Predictive email lookup.
Some phones maintain the predictive email capability, others do not, can't figure our why.
Please Nokia, post a list of bugs so we can get things out in the open!

Truncated email update
I can find no pattern to this at all. At first I thought the user would need to download the entire message content before forwarding but this seems no to be the case as I have done this and the email is truncated.
The message body size is under 200k, in fact the whole email is only 115K. Being built in to the phone OS I can not set the download size of MfE which was my next try.
Could this be a memory problem?
MfE bundles up the original email as an attachment when you forward and email, can this be the problem?
Any ideas Nokia???? Getting desperate and going to return these 50 devices if I can't get anywhere, a messaging that can not email correctly is useless and dangerous.

my E72's MfE stopped sincing during a half day yesterday. A reboot seems to have solved it this morning but come on, this shouldn't be so unreliable ! I guess I was over optimistic in my earlier post on this thread...
Also, appart from the problem of no sync on off-peak I have had an issue of outoing emails disappearing when written during off-peak hours: I wrote several emails this week-end, they have disappeared from outbox or draft or sent and my recipients never received them.
Using V22.007 with MfE over Exchange 2003
09-Mar-2010 02:25 PM
As a follow-up, my E72 has continued to work without losing the synchronization with Exchange for the best part of a week now. I think this is was the result of setting a user defined connection point for each mail account rather than allowing the dialogue box to continually pop up asking "wireless router or contract internet".This is a workaround and is an issue that needs fixing.
Prior to this I also cleared out/archived all my mail folders on exchange, deleted recurring appointments (i.e.. Birthday reminders) which I'd read on other threads were causing some sync issues. I then restored a smaller amount to my inbox and changed the connection settings on my phone as described above. Something in this obviously worked. My phone was previously crashing frequently and plagued with Exchange 2003 sync problems. It is now working perfectly.
09-Mar-2010 03:27 PM
The only syncing problems I have had have been on a few occasions where I'm guessing the phone reception is a little intermittent, user accounts have been locked out. Apart from that all other aspects of MfE (Apart from cropping emails, no predictive email address lookup after V22 upgrade and multi-line signatures not working) have been OK but that's more than enough not to work ![]()
Just priced up for Exchange 2007 (Apparently you can but 2010 licenses but still deploy 2007) and for 100 users your looking at over £7K. Do we know if Exchange 2007 works perfectly with MfE?
I have passed my problems onto Vodafone in the hope they can get some useful info from Nokia. Anything useful I'll post back. In the mean time if anyone thinks it would be useful for them to compare Exchange setup with me given the syncing side of things is good for us, just drop me an email.

And I still only have 021.024. I am with T Mobile and there is still no 022.007 update or any idea when it is due.
So I have a Faulty phone, even though firmware to fix it has been avaailable for months.

Ok. So last night, I trashed my Exchange settings and reset them. To my amazement, my email synced for the predetermined time I set. The only problem now is that when the phone tries to get new mail, the "Accept this time only, Accept permanently, and Certificate details" prompt always comes up. When I select "Accept this time only," it retrieves my email, but when I select "Accept permanently," the next time, it doesn' t retrieve any new mail at all. Anyone having this same issue?. Looks like the last update fixed some things, but not this one yet.

Same problem here , just purchase 11 E72.
Have install latest firmware 23.002 on one of our device and the those problems are still present and maybe worst.
Other issues
When I forward message , on the other side , they are receive as name attachment.
Bugs with special characters (they vanish on reply and forward?), we use French and English input.
Big contact list slow down the phone in general , up to 2 seconds delay in all task (example when receiving a normal phone call take up to 3 seconds before we hear ring.)
MFE stop syncing , the phone need to be rebooted.
This phone is really immature , I really feel like a Beta Tester.
Nokia support was unable to provide help , (delete some picture or video... the phone is new only mfe is setup ???)
US version firmware is still at 22.007 , look like we will have to wait many months before a fix.
