Can anyone using Exchange 2007 & MfE confirm if the following operations work ok with the E72?

1. fetching full email content works.
2. yes - signature'll be inserted correctly when creating or forwarding emails.

yes, more or less. I mean the set-up goes ok (one work account with exchange 2003 and one personal account with GMAIL push), but then I've had temporary connection errors either with one account or the other (3 or 4 in 2 days) and experienced some delays in receiving emails.
What is strange though is that I've had a VERY good experience with Seven on my 5800 (and even on my 5630 which also is a S60 3rd Edition FP2 model like the E72).
Anyone else using Seven on the E72 would like to comment ?

Dear all,
When are we expecting any solution from NOKIA for E72?

unfortunately I had to uninstal Seven from the E72 and go back to Nokia Messaging's integrated MfE : I was unable to send emails on SEVEN.
I still cannot read emails body over 2kB and still have to cope with the phone asking me for a 6 digits security code because of my corporate server security policy (not requested when using SEVEN or Roadsync) however these are secondary defficiencies compared to not being able to send emails or receiving them late.
As I said, SEVEN always worked great for me on the other phones, including a recent FP2 (XM 5630) so I am really puzzled that it shouldn't work on the E72.

I have this same issue and an even worse one. The phone keeps freezing/crashing when trying to Sync with my Microsoft Exchange 2003 server. This can only be resolved by restarting the phone. These seems to occur randomly but also when I use the "Z" key for a manual sync.
I have raised this issue with Nokia and have been told that this is also an issue with compatability with Exchange 2003. I've been told this issue is being esculated within Nokia. I just hope this gets resolved soon with a software update. Up until I started getting this problem I thought it was a great phone. Its a huge shame and very worrying though that it is currently failing at one of the main tasks I bought it for. This really doesn't look good and makes me feel the phone was mis-sold.

Hi Gary - sorry for a late reply.
I had a similar problem with an E75 - it refused to sync and kept dropping the connection to the Exchange server.
The cause was ultimately some corruption in the sync profile.
To cure it, I moved all the mail out of the inbox/sent items, did a resync and moved it back again - the E75 started syncing again. It took a while to figure this out - I deleted and recreated the MfE profile on the phone first and updated the firmware, neither of which fixed the problem, (the latter as brought a working E75 upto date with the subject of this thread - a working phone that now doesn't download a full message anymore.)

I eventually received an email from Nokia Europes Contact Centre today, offering me a solution to the problem.
It was a long solution, which advised creating a new virtual server under IIS to manage SSL connections.
I gave it the benefit of the doubt and followed the instructions (even though every other device we use works perfectly!).
It didn't fix the problem and created further issues on the SBS2003 server, such that some of the integral IIS modules stopped working. So I have put it back how it was & there is no point in quoting the mail here.
I have to asked again though - If every other device works perfectly, how can it be a configuration issue on the server....???
Wake up Nokia. Please fix the issue.

Hi all
Bought 45 E72's because they are supposed to be the "messaging phone" to have. Tried it for a week or so and unfortunately didn't find the Exchange 2003 problem. Now really really frustrated Nokia are silent on this issue and seriously considering returning the whole lot to Vodafone in protest as they are not fit for purpose.
We run OWA through a virtual server with SSL, my old 5800 with the downloadable MfE client worked fine, come on Nokia, acknowledge the severity of the problem and post your plan to fix it. Your silence is speaking volumes!

Guys, firmware update v22 is available since yesterday via NSU.
/discussions/board/message?board.id=communicators&
No official changelog available yet but it does solve this issue; at least for a couple of users here it did.

I Checked NSU last night and v22.007 is not available yet for the two models I have:
model 0590128 (Vodafone UK)
model 0586208 (A Nokia generic unit)
Waiting for an answer from Vodafone on release date!

I concur with that, my code number is 0590128 and 021.024 is the latest version posted. Be interested to know what supplier or vendor V22 is released under.
Just signed up under MyNokia so hopefully as soon as it's available for my model I'll know.

I suspect the FOTA application in the phone will let you know first!

I see an update for the E72 on the horizon. Nokia just put one out for the N900 and 5800 that includes a fix for Mail for Exchange Server 2003. I have my fingers crossed, but not holding my breath!
