Email for Exchange is an application I unfortunately have run on my phone.

 

It has damaged my contact list twice. One time, it erased it totally. Another time, it has removed telephone numbers and replaced with empty notes.

 

In other words, email for exchange should never have been written.

 

I had to start over to put contacts in my phone.

 

I got the idea of listing my inbox. There, I can go through the list of sms:es and get all clues I need to repopulate my contact list.

 

However, I can only add a contact from the inbox for smses received from a number that was unknown when I received the sms.

 

When I go to the inbox and open an sms, then I press the left button to get the menu, I get "add to contacts" only if I was opening an sms where the sender has not already been put in the previous contact list. The one that I am not having any longer.
