Hi, I found this post via google since I was also looking for why I could not get netaddress to work with IMAP on my nokia e65
After some investigation working with netaddress support the following is the conclusion:
Thank you for your reply. We tested the email client of Symbian OS on Nokia 5800 Express Music and on N82. We're sorry to inform you that IMAP is not compatible with Symbian's email client. We can send emails but can't receive emails. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience. We have forwarded this concern to our developers to make our system compatible with Symbian OS. If you have any question or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
So in summary we need to wait to see if they can fix it. All I can suggest in the meantime is to forward your email to a gmail account and use gmail IMAP to pick up your messages. Not ideal but best I can suggest for now.

Hi Al24, I gave up trying to use the E71's email client some time ago - it really is quite useless for IMAP and your reponse confirms that.
I did use gmail for a while but I soon ditched it and instead downloaded Emoze. It's free for 1 email account and works seamlessly with the E71. Give it a whirl, it is much better than faffing with a gmail workaround.
