Can not delete a hotmail account from nokia E71....

Hi,

 

I have a Nokia E71 and am using the Seven application to support hotmail.  I have recently temporarily added another hotmail account and have now deleted this in the seven application.  However, this hasn't deleted the account from my E71, so I was wondering how to do this.

 

Just out of interest, selecting MENU->COMMUNICATIONS-> MESSAGING->then selecting the EMAIL I want to delete->then selecting OPTIONS, only gives me the choices of Edit, Help or Exit.  There is no delete option hers.

 

Any ideas???

my way to delete an account is:

 

MENU - INSTALATIONS - EMAIL ON 3 - and pres the button in the middle (big button) an will apear setting; status details, account information and remove account.and chose remove account,,,AND IS DONE.

Hi,

 

Unfortunatly all is not done...  :smileysad:(

 

I have already done this and the account has been deleted in the installations area.  However, when I press the e-mail envelope icon, then the account I have just deleted is still there.

 

Any more ideas???

I have exactly the same problem as well, using the 3 Mail application, after uninstalling the 3 mail application, and installing the latest version. There is no option to remove email accounts from the Messaging menu - I can only remove the newly created versions of my email accounts with the new version of the application. Any ideas would be great.

I had the same problem with YahooGo. I did it exactly as everybody else, delete it from the APPS MAN only to find that it was still there afterwards.

 

The way in which I finaly got rid of it was to copy the contents of my memory card onto a new memory card. it's a bit drastic but it certainly got rid of it.

 

The only problem with this method is that it will not copy all the APPS over and you will have to reinstall a few from the Nokia website and also reinstall the pc Sync through the Nokia PC Suite (you will be guided how to do this)
