How does this work exactly i access the program select my posistion,

it displays

Trying to get GPS connection. GPS status is visualised by the indicator next to the satellite symbol.

The indicatoe just flashes yellow and never changes to green

Go outdoors where you get a clear view of sky. Low cloud or rain will make satellite acquisition a lot longer.

Go to Menu>Tools>GPS data>searching for + calculating data>Position>Options>Satellite status

This shows the number of available satellites. Empty rectangle means not locked on. Solid/black filled rectangle means signal acquired. Minimum of 3 solid bars are required for triangulation and hence for the sat nav to work.

Satellite fix generally takes 1-2 minutes but may take up to 20 minutes.

what cjlim said was exactly true....

all u need more is a little bit of patience....

it takes more time may be about 45 min for phone to find satellite for the 1st time...

later it will position very fast may be even within 1 min.

clear view of sky is very important...

I think cjlim using different phone ,

while trying map or GPS

"No internet connection. Select 'Options' > 'Tools' > 'Go online' to go online." but that does not work.

Please mail if anyone have good solution for Nokia 5800 (NowI I'm using s/w version V21.0.0.25)
