new maps version 0.1.27.107 for ovi maps 3.03

Today my Ovi suite tried to update the maps, but failed. In the version info on my E52 I can see a new maps version number 0.1.27.107.

 

Any news? Any offlne links?

Unfortunately Europe download "bombs out" at about 900MB and maybe currently be corrupt as happened upon release of last update for a couple of weeks until sorted.

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.

Able to successfully update Maps v3.01 to data set 0.1.27.107 on an N79 using Mac Nokia map Loader.

 I have to admit I approach each Maps data update with a fair amount of trepidation. Neither Ovi Suite nor Mac Nokia Maps Loader seems to function in a wholly consistent manner. My guess is that the interface has changed somewhat over the years and different phone models, and the branching logic of the updating application does not always read the existing data correctly and/or choose the right data path for each phone.

I got also problems during the europe map. I let the downloadmanager to try unlimited and after some time the file was finished. I got no error during extracting. So I'm not sure if everything is ok.

Still something not quite right about 782 as Ovi Suite > Maps recognised that The Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia/Oceania present upon device but not Europe unfortunately; this is however contradictory as data is there as can zoom into Europe upon device.

 

Unfortunately I forgot to record MD5 checksums before discarding .zips after decompressing so can't share these values with you currently!
