Unable to update

I am stressing out over this, I don't like how the Ovi Stuite is so counter intuitive, but this is killing me.

 

I am unable to update Maps (or Social for that matter).  On the phone or the PC suite software, it says I have no updates available, but the versions on the phone are older..

 

Why can't I just download a .sis file and do this manually?

 

I'm ready to smash the damn phone and get an iPhone.

I am stuck on 3.06, it just won't GO AWAY..

And now everytime I load the Ovi Suite, it drops to edge.

Phone has a hammer next to it right now, I'm not even kidding. It's about to meet it's doom.

Sorry that things have gone "pear shaped" with your N8, without trawling back through your threads don't know what result you get if you go to OVI Store:http://store.ovi.com/content/100493

 

It has to be said with release of OVI Suite v3.1.1.80 and latest 00.02.43.117 maps there have been a variety of issues over last two weeks since introduction such as new maps available one day and not the next, Europe file being corrupted at first, device not recognising presence of new maps.

 

Although latest maps can be downloaded directly from servers (currently only method for Mac users with OVI Maps v3.06 and later), this still means that device although utilising them does not record change in Versions > About!

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.
