Ovi maps custom routes

[ Edited ]

Hi,

In theory this should be fairly simple: I want to save a long driving route in my Ovi maps account but would like to pick the motorways I will be traveling through, is it this possible? That is, to create a custom route?

At the moment, Optimized/Fastest routes are around 4 hours long using all the major motorways (and traffic hotspots) while the Shortest route is 6 hours long going through country lanes. There is another way, under five hours, using alternative smaller motorways (basically going from Manchester to Essex using the A1 motorway). Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

murg

Maybe you could add some further (custom) waypoints :smileywink:

Re: Ovi maps custom routes

If you want to handle this on the phone (not via Ovi Online), with Maps current limitations, I would save all the important route points as "favorites".  Then, starting in favorites, set up your custom route by first picking your start "place" ("add to route") and then add all the route points needed from the favorites/places in order to achive your actual/complete custom route.

Then, press button "show route" and option "save route" (giving the route a good name...).  Then you should have your route available under favorites...
