Does anyone know how to fix a frozen screen on this Nokia Navigator.  I bought two of these from Buy.com, one for me and one for my sister.  It worked great the first two months, unfortunately it has locked up.  I can't find any information on here to get this thing replaced/repaired.  Any help would be greatly appreciate at this point.  I'm about to start bad mouthing Nokia for this product. 

I have various Nokia phones and never had any problems.  This my first Navigation purchase and for the price I thougth it was worth it.  Shoulda bought a Tom Tom to save me the headache.  Thanks.

If nothing works, take out the battery and restart.

Do not attemt to take the battery out. It is not accessible and not meant to be removed.

I would first try a soft reset (button on bottom below "+" button ) . If that does not work, try a hard reset - switch unit off and on using switch on botom below "-" button.

If that does not work, try updating the software. Unfortunately, the Nokia software site is problematic nad has never worked when I have tried it. There are ways to fix your problem. Nokia should do it for you. But otherwise, do an internet search. Mayb start at GPSpassion.com.  God luck.

I am finding this unit EXTREMELY difficult to work.  I can't seem to get the 'green' light after I've had it charging all night via USB (yes the NOKIA cable).  I have upgraded the software.  I am wondering if there is an a/c adapter available for this particular Nokia Navigator 500 GPS?  I HAVE seen them on Ebay, but am skeptical about getting one.  Mainly because I don't see a place for it to plug in.  The ones on ebay have the small circular end, and NOT the USB-type connector.  Any ideas anyone?

I thought about navigator 6210 and such but I cna not give any advice about the 500. Empty the battery untill it switches off and resttart. Or better bring it back....
