@Rod_Riot,
As a matter of fact, my mother tongue is Portuguese. I live in Brazil and bought my C6-01 in Portugal, that's why it has an Iberic product code. But of course we could communicate "en Español", no problem at all for me ![]()
Cheers!

Has anyone been able to successfully remove/downgrade maps 3.08 when it is embedded in firmware? I really miss the features of 3.06 and I'm considering re-flashing just to get it back...
If there is another method that is better... does it work to install 3.08 on top of 3.08, and then remove it (following instructions above), and then install 3.06? Or to manuall install 3.06 without removing 3.08?
If someone already knows, it could save a lot of trouble. If not, I'll try both of these methods and report back if one of them works.

For those with embeded 3.08:
I guess it's worth trying to find on the web one of the earlier beta versions of Maps 3.08. As the beta versions didn't embeded on the firmware, chances are that it could then be possible to remove all components, as listed before on this thread. But be aware, you'll have to find a complete installation package Releases which use Nokia online installer won't install, as they're older than v3.08 final release.

I still have Anna, i.e. no embeded 3.08. I have tryed to install over my 3.08 the leaked 3.08 version with all files listed separately, and it went through nicely. But again afterwards it was not possible to unisntall it. Also there have been again only the two lines in the Apps list:
- Check in Data
- ODML Commons Repository.
So - with embeded into the firmware 3.08 it will not be possible to uninstall it. As it is not possible to uninstall embeded into the firmware software, it is not possible to overwrite it.

Unfortunately Nokia continues struggling with Maps. The only way i found to make this to work was doing a hard reset and then installing v3.06.
For some of the mentioned reasons on the thread, the v3.08 dont dissapear at all, even it is not possible to re-install. Nokia shall learn from Google where now pre-caching option makes lighter the application, offering an ease to use experience to end users.

When I bought my X7 it had 3.07 on it, worked good, I made a complete backup of the phone then.
After updating to 3.08 i noticed the powerconsumption as well, I did restore to the original backup, but after 3.08 was still there. Its almost like a virus.
But I like the drive button option.
Guess we have to wait for update from nokia............
