Hi everyone, hope someone can help. I've recently updated my phone and downloaded the latest ovi maps but when i go into maps on my phone i haven't got any roads or streets. if i zoom out far enough i can see rivers but no roads. Am i doing something wrong ? is there a box i haven't ticked anywhere or something ?

Now that you have updated the application, you also need to update the map data.

Using file manager, delete the Cities folder and qf file from the mass storage or memory card. Then run Maps once before connecting it to your pc using Ovi Suite and downloading the required map data.

I think I have the same problem. I bought new E72 and downloaded map information for valid country. When I open the Maps I can not see any street or roads?? there is just direction indicator at the left bottom of white screen and coordinates at the left upside...

yeah I see only white screen.

do you have any idea??

Your problem could be slightly different. You may have download the map data for the country you are currently in. However, when you start Maps for the first time, until it actually gets a fix of your location it may be defaulting to a location which you don't happen to ahve the map data downloaded for, hence blank screen.

What you should do is to search for a location within the area which you have downloaded the map data for and ask it to show on map. Alternatively, just wait for the phone to get a location fix.
