Re: Maps

Whilst in OVI Suite > Maps beside your connected device icon is it "All" or "Select all" as I can't remember which, you get a different window and it shows which maps installed on your device.

If using OVI Suite 3 there is now the option to delete individual maps rather than all as previously.

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.

However if my answer also solves your problem clickingbelow it will benefit other users!

Re: Maps

Another way is to simply open the Maps application in your phone and zoom-in on the map of that country.. If installed it will show street level details.. else a Greenish background without any detail..

Re: Maps

One question to follow up.

If the maps are not pre-installed in the cell phone, should it automatically download the maps either by network or wi-fi connection?

Re: Maps

For that to happen. with Network connection..you should select.. Maps-->Spanner Icon--> Internet-->ONLINE.. but the data charges may be very high.. especially if you are roaming..

Thats why its recommended to pre-install the maps of the region you are in or will be visiting..

Re: Maps

@tonyxc

Should your device be one of these:

Symbian^3: N8, E7, C7, C6-01, S60 5th Edition: N97, N97 Mini, X6, C6-00, 5800XM

we would probably advocate trying OVI Maps v3.06 pre-release from Nokia Beta Labs here:

http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/ovi-maps-for-mobile-v3-06 which allows you to use an available WLAN connection to download maps circumventing use of OVI Suite > Maps for this purpose.

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.
