Maps getting closed-nokia c5-03

hi, i recently bought a nokia c5-03.. there was a software update to version 22.0.007, which i completed. i wanted to check the working of GPS so i clicked on the maps icon n it took me to my position. suddenly an error msg popped up stating "Memory full. Close some applications and try again" n the maps app got closed. but my phone memory has abt 33 mb of free space n memory card has 1.2 gb. this has been a problem with few other applications as well. pls help me out with this..

@pranavash

As you report this has happened with other applications perhaps it is time to backup essential data and reset your C5-03 to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user). There is no doubt that later versions of Ovi Maps need more free phone memory to run especially if calculating a journey of any length.

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.

However if my answer also solves your problem clickingbelow it will benefit other users!

hi, you should understand all closed applications are running in background so memory full error occured, so you can install mobile guard application from ovi store, that application closes all the background processes using the clean spam option, if more help personal message me.

Delete the 'Cities' folder and the 'qf' file thru' Windows Explorer after connecting the phone to PC... Then open the Maps application and close after a few seconds so that the Folder structure is recreated. Then install the Maps again..and check

Re: Maps getting closed-nokia c5-03

Are you starting up maps with a wi-fi connection to the internet (A-GPS)? This setting always crashes maps when I start navigation. If this is possibly your problem, make sure that you have the maps internet connection set to use your cellular data network rather than wi-fi.  You could also disconnect from the internet entirely (use only GPS) just to see whether you still have the problem.
