Map Version 0.1.24.114...

... is what I see when I go to: Maps > ? > About - on my phone. (Maps 3.04)

Is this the Maps app version or the Maps data version?

(If it is for the app where do I find the data version number?)

How often is the Maps data updated? Is there a regular cycle?

How will I know when my Maps data is out of date?

How will I know when my Maps app is out of date?

Re: Map Version 0.1.24.114...

Hi pat100

If you've got as far as seeing OVI Maps application version v3.04 10wk17 b07 then you will find map set version 0.1.24.114 in the line below.

If you use OVI Suite > Tools > Software Updates it will tell you whether there is a newer OVI Maps application available and Maps section within OVI Suite will tell you whether newer map data is available.

Happy to have helped the forum in a small way from 2007-10

Re: Map Version 0.1.24.114...

I did not follow that suggestion. On my phone, in Maps, Options, Support, About I can find that display, but how can that apply to all of the different state or country maps that may have been downloaded at different dates and so must be of different version numbers?

And using the Ovi Suite I can not find any reference to the version numbers of the maps now available for new downloads.

Having experience with Garmin, TomTom, etc., and where each map has a version number and where the server version numbers are also clearly visible, this Nokia or Ovi system seems to be a total mess.  Or did I get something wrong?

Thanks,

Tony
