Hi,

I have Nokia N79 with the latest update 32.001 firmware. I cannot install map3 on the phone. I downloaded the map updater from the online website, and when trying to install, I get the error code 2148532241.

After some searching online, I found it may be firmware dependent. is this true? and what is solution for this?

Any help on this?

Welcome to the forum!

You should be able to install nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.SIS to your N79.

Whilst it is easy for me to say as keep very little data on device, if you backup essential data first then return device to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by yourself) there should not be any issues.

Thanks for letting me know, unfortunately a voice navigation license would need to be purchased with OVI Maps v3.01
