Hi, every time I connect N8 to ovi suite a map apears there which I do not want to have. I delete it and next I connect to ovi suit it is shown as being on my device.

any solutions please?

I have not deleted a map from ovi maps for some time soI may be wrong here but I thought there was a button at the bottom of the page to save changes. If so have you clicked on this button after deleting the map? If I am wrong someone will come up with the correct answer.

no, there is not such a button

Presumably your N8 is running Ovi_Maps_3_06_10wk50_b12?

In OVI Maps > "Spanner icon" > Synchronisation - is it set to "At start-up and shut down"

Sorry my bad, thought you were referring to carrying out procedure on N8. If you look top right of screen there is delete box.

yes, thank you, I meant that I delete this map every time and after next connection with the ovi suite it is still there

I've the very same problem with my C7. And, frankly speaking, I'd like to avoid deletings all the maps from the device (E:\CITIES).

I've also tried to install the same unwanted map and remove again to check integrity of installed map but unwanted map is still there.

Any suggestion?

ok, I just did exactly the same thing (added unwanted map and deleted again), but since you already tried it... my N8 sucks big time.
didn't believe this will ever happen, but I started to check the prices for iphones

At the end I did it. Deleted the e:\cities folder and qt file. Restarted ovi maps and then reinstalled missing maps. It is classical nokia procedure to recover ovi mpas. And it worked fine. Now only wanted maps are installed in the device.

can you please clarify full path of the files/folders to be deleted please?

For N8 using mass memory for map data = E:\CITIES (folder) + .qf file and if using memory card = F:\CITIES (folder) + .qf file

I now have the same problem. I could delete a mp before but now when I delete from my 5800XM it is still there when I start Ovi Suite again. This was not previously a problem. Is there a bug ijn Ovi Suite 3.0.0.290?
