I want to keep phone silent for the time I need. For example,  if I go to movie theater, set it for two hours. If I have meeting, set it for 1 hour. I easily forget to change profile after putting it into silent mode.

 

Is there any profile to set for duration for silence? I have other Symbian phone and it also does not have option. Wondering  how easy to write the profile if it is not there.  I don't mind experimenting with qt to be able to work on both platforms.

 

Appreciate any suggestions.

root
apt-get install silencer
