Where to get freeware document viewer downloads?

Hi all, I am wondering where to get freeware document viewers, I just came off using an Eseries device & it has QuickOffice build in.

On N900 only Adobe PDF reader/Viewer is included, why isn't QuickOffice? I want free apps not trial apps, best regards.:smileysurprised:

Re: Where to get freeware document viewer downloads?

Hi ceroberts75, I have looked everywhere for the app gnumeric, at Ovi store & app manager downloads just couldn't find it.

I visited My-Maemo.com but they have very limited selections, can you recommend a site?

Much obliged.:smileywink:

Hi wilson63

Details of "Gnumeric" here, you would have add Extras-Devel to catalogues in Application Manager to see it:http://www.nokian900applications.com/gnumeric-for-nokia-n900/

Re: Where to get freeware document viewer downloads?

here, you can download fapn directly HERE ifyou are looking at this with your n900.

but you will need to install the extras-devel repository to your n900 if you want to get access to your updates for it.

you can install extras-devel repository by clicking on HERE with your n900.

here are the settings:

Catalogue name: Extras-Devel
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free

...or simply click here on your Maemo device to install it automatically.

there is also goffice, but i have never used that.  it is also in the extras-devel repo.

Re: Where to get freeware document viewer downloads?

For document viewers on the N900, it's hard to go past Google Docs (http://docs.google.com). It's a web app and works particularly well on the N900 Microb browser.

Re: Where to get freeware document viewer downloads?

Thanks again ceroberts75, you have once again earn your "KUDOS"! I choose to install FreOffice document viewer instead, but the rest of the other applications which I couldn't see before your link will probably come in handy in the future as well.

I still have the dictionary yet to be installed properly though, do you have any suggestions? Best regards:smileywink:

Re: Where to get freeware document viewer downloads?

Hi everyone, after loading the Extras devel repository the apps manager launches much slower than before, is this a direct result?

Are there any classic Solitaire or lottery generator games I can download? Best regards:smileyvery-happy:

Hi there,

There is a free Solitaire game in Ovi Store:

Also, the developer (OffScreen), have released a few other games which are free, including Free Cell. You can see their entire catalog on Ovi Store here:
