Dear Nokia, I just bought a White N9, but I can't updating it yet to PR 1.1. No update OTA, nor through NSU.

My model is 059M8W6: N9 RM-696 Country Variant Switzerland CH White 64GB V1_COLOR.

Could you please let me know when should I expect to get it officially? It is quite frustrating to wait such a long time since the official release for no apparent reason; this is against the consumer experience indeed.

Go to your nearest nokia care store to get it done.

I'm not sure where u r from but over here in Singapore, it can be done.

I am from Italy; officially in Italy the N9 is not sold. I'll try but no sure it could be done.

for the 059M8W6, it still does not have the pr1.1 update..only the original firmware.

It is a gorgeous phone, it feels awesome in may hands, love it.

OS is a little bìt buggy, not so mature, but I love it anyway, is a fresh breeze compared to iOS, Symbian or Android. It is a pity that Nokia decided not to carry on with MeeGo instead of WP7.

As said I am a bit frustrated with Nokia update policy; I really hope that the company does not forget to upgrade my model.

Three is a way to get the update, but it would be highly recommended that you are pro user, and know how to get that info with Google.

It cannot be talked about on this forum though.

So ask your friend Google if you just cannot wait.

My post may be modded if I put it on the board. I see you are from USA. You can purchase a white n9 from www .welectronics.com Go to the Web page, get the phone number from the top of the right side of the Web page. Call instead of using online and ask for Luis. Let him know that ceroberts75 referred you and he should give you better pricing than on their website. Btw. ..I get nothing from anyone buying anything other than the satisfaction that Nokia was wrong thinking people do not want meego devices! I have purchased a few phones from then and have referred many people. Their service is quick and trustable

Contact the provider of the phone, bug them to ask for an update. Bug your network. Bug your NCP...Bug some more...wait some more.

Agreed that you shouldn't try flashing the phone yourself...it'd make a pretty, but expensive paperweight.

I also heartily recommend welectronics.  Living in the Chicagoland area, and given that I was buying two of these phones (I have a smart wife who also wanted one of these phones), I wanted to see the people and store.

They were nice and knew exactly what product they had and the prices.

I am very satisfied with this source for Nokia N9s in the USA. I am even more satisfied by the N9.  This is the phone I've waited years to get.  I knew Nokia would come out with something that would rock my world!

I've just got a white nokia just to realize that the update is not available here in Switzerland. I have the same model number as yours. Could it be that they release the second mayor update directly skipping the this one? I hope so and I hope it comes fast.

A bit disappointed by nokia this time.
