I have installed Custom Ringtones APP from the App Manager, Now I dont know how to proceed, How do I now have different ringtones for seperate contacts. There is no option seen in the Phone or Contact Area.

I have installed custom ringtones APP from the App Manager, But I do not see it in the Menu or anywhere in the phone. How can I have custom ringtones for my contacts. As mentioned by Ceroberts75 I have not installed Apt-get install per-contact-ringtones from X-Term, as there is already an App made for it in App Manager, But that doesnt seem to be working...Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi there,

From the authors blog:

To set a custom ringtone you go to the Contacts application, select the contact and press the new “Set custom ringtone” button in the menu

I have installed custom ringtones for your contacts,custom ringtones system from the Application Manager, is that the best ? I have also seen something called crochik mycontacts contacts application, desktop widget and custom ringtone per group.

Which one is better ? Which one Do I install ?

MyContacts is a large widget that fills 1 desktop, that you can create groups of contacts (Work, Home, Friends etc) and have a custom tone for each group.  There are 5 groups you can use, with what appears to be 15 contacts per group.

So, yes, it can give you custom tones, but not on an individual basis.
