Problem N900 - rebooting

Hello . Well , after some hours that i've spent on this forum and i've been trying to find a way to fix my phone i'm opening this thead .

This morning i've tried to connect to WiFi network on my N900 . Then , suddenly it restarted once and since then it keeps restarting .

What should i do , i've flashed the OS like 4 times and no result . My phone starts up , gets me to the menu , i can surf on it for like 3secs then it restarts.

Hi Marian4you,

How have you flashed the OS? Have you tried following the steps in this thread?

Yes i did , my phone is made in korea but i've bought it from a shop in Romania . I've reinstalled the PR 1.2 version 10.2010.19-1 Global. I've flashed only the OS . After i've flashed the OS , i let the usb cable plugged in , and when i've tried to flash the EMMC too but it stucks on : "Suitable USB device not found"

Those instructions are long, but they rule out windows interfering with the flashing process...

You will need a USB memory stick that is 2GB or larger to follow those instructions, but on the plus side, those steps pretty much always work!! :smileyhappy:

Re: Problem N900 - low memory

I’m having problems with my N900. After having a Malfunction System error I tried flashing the N900. I did a Hard Reset and now I can turn my N900 on but I have no more mass memory. Here the Storage details:
“Device Memory
Total size 455,5 MB
In use by system 227,8 MB
User files 207,9 MB
Available 19,9 MB
12kB Contacts”
I have no more files on it. I can’t send or receive one single message. I can’t even open the camera. The error message is always “Not enough memory to open camera”. When I try other functions the error message is “Operation temporarily disable due to low memory”. It just doesn`t it works. I´d tryed fhashing it several times but nothing. I bought my N900 in January, 2010 and after so many flashing I don´t know which is the original Product Version.
I tried first Update N900 OS and after Reset Mass Memory. After I tried reset the mass memory and update the OS.
My question: is there any problem in using the first or the last OS and eMMC software packages?
How can I restore my original mass memory? My N900 can neither recognize a memory card.
Thank you so much

Re: Problem N900 - low memory

Hi. I tried flashing so many times but none worked.

Now I'm trying flashing by Ubunto, but I'm having some problems listed at /t5/Maemo-and-MeeGo-Devices/Flashing-N900/m-p/1089839#M26654 - message 80.

Could you try to help me, or someone?

thanks.

Cris
