N900 - Navigation

After connecting the N900 to Nokia Ovi Suite I get a message

`Your device does not support navigation, or navigation's voice guiadeance. However, you can download free Nokia maps for route planning.

How do I "activate" navigation on N900?

Ovi Maps is pre-loaded and does allow for navigation, BUT importantly, no voice guidance. This makes it somewhat useless as a GPS navigator whilst moving in a vehicle, obviously.

If you are lucky enough to live in Europe or North America, Sygic Mobile Maps is available and does include voice guidance. No maps available for other parts of the world unfortunately, but there are work arounds if you care to search. http://www.sygic.com

Re: N900 - Navigation

Hi travla,

You say it allows for navigation. Does that include free navigation i.e., without connecting to the internet?

If so, how!?

Thanks,
