N9 hard reset doesn't work

<body><p>So I have installed a number of apps on my device when i found out that the application viewer started to say that I have no apps installed at all. Then I noticed that I can't install anything via Store. So I decided to hard reset my n9 but it didn't  actually work the way that I wanted to. I mean everything was reset but excluding the installed apps. I mean all of them wasn't removed. Is there other way to reset my device?

Did you use Settings>Reset>Restore Setings or Settings>Reset>Clear Device? You should use the second one if you wish to wipe your phone to the out of the box state. Note you will also lose all your data so backup anything you need beforehand.

As I already said, "Clear Device" function didn't work and problems are still alive. Everything has reset, but all apps installed by ME - didn't, they keep working. And application viewer keeps showing me nothing at all, it says that my device has no software.

Just making sure it was the "Clear Device" you used when attempting the hard reset. Your original post only mentioned "Hard Reset".

 

That should have worked but it obviously didn't. Did you try it a second time?

 

What applications are you refering to?

Yes, it was "Clear device". I tried doing this three times, still no effect.

You want me to name every single app that I have intalled? I mean all of them didn't remove.

by the way, sorry for my language - not very skilled in english=)

Maybe it was my fault. The thing is that I managed to install several .deb files on my device which were needed for "fheroes2" application, but I don't realy remember did the problems start after the installation or before, or maybe after some more installs of other apps...

Well, as I always keep hoping that miracle would come so it happened =)) I found a post here about Nokia Software Updater and decided to try to reupdate my device. That was a succes, my n9 reset and everything is working fine now. Good job to me :cathappy:
