Does the N9 have hardware to support FM Radio Recieving and could it transmitt radio like the N8?

I understand the software doesn't support it... maybe that will change?

HI ,

N9 have the HW to support FM radio Receiving but doesn't have the HW for FM transmitting .

We are waiting for a third party application that enables the FM radio reception .

Oh well I was really interested in finally getting a QT based linux phone... I guess I am sticking with my N8 then. Almost makes me wonder how it got the N title with its standard camera, and lack of connectivity. Sweet phone though.

It still has some bugs as far as I could read there.... but you see.... the MeeGo community is alive

dear i have the n9 n radio workin on it  download the latest fm rx/tx .before install allow the installation from non store sources(application-installationetc...)after install go on (settin -security-developper mode and enable it and install the app that prompt to n it will restart by itself) and try the radio u will not regret after buyin the only and only n9

FYI the N9 doesn't have the ability to transmit radio to your car... however you can cheaply buy radio transmitters which plug into the headphone socket and transmit to your car stereo (for example). I use a Belkin one which is pretty good... and has a USB port so you can charge your phone at the same time.

This one has a problem with installation. People paid the money can can not install.

Already has around 20 comments with complains about that.
