I got a new N900 last Thursday, and had a couple problems right out of the box:
1. Abysmal battery life, on the order of 5 or 6 hours, while not connected to the internet or me doing anything. I just took a peek at top now, and for the first time I see an indication of what's wrong: /usr/sbin/wlancond is burning at 90+% of CPU. Resetting the device seemed to fix this problem; I'll see if it comes back in an hour or two.
2. I've had a couple crashes, mostly with the Notes app when I try to save or load. (It's not universal, but I would get a popup that asked if I wanted to force quit the Notes app, and pressing "yes" did nothing.)
Then, to add to the problems, last night, when I plugged it into my computer to charge, I got this wonderful screen:

And the phone didn't do anything (except charge) until I removed and reinserted the battery. (To be clear, it's back to "working" now.)
I did update to the latest firmware and such.
Any thoughts? Should I try to make good on the warranty?
EDIT: Oh look, /usr/sbin/wlancond is back. It wants to be the CPU's friend.

The wifi is a known bug.

Please install the latest firmware on your device.

I do have the latest update.
It's a known bug, but not that known bug. (That is how I originally got to the one I have... Warren Baird posted to #6615 with what's potentially my problem.) https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9153 is the one I have.
BTW, it really looks like my Notes bug is related (it only freezes while wlancond is pegging my CPU), and the graphical glitch has so far been a one-time thing.
