since today my nokia account also doesnt work anymore.. also twitter no longer working! until yesterday i didnt had any problems!! but definitively not interested just because of that to reset my phone.. Lucky me I work next to a nokia help point, lets see if they can fix it!

OK, now I have both the Nokia account and Twitter working. The secret is to clear the phone, then install the nokia account and twitter using 3G data, not WiFi - and make sure you make no errors! Any error seems to make the phone decide the service is not available anymore.

This could be the problem. I think i had an error on my first try. I think it was password, etc. or i first tried to setup via N9, then later decided to create account on computer to see what the account really means for me. Entering my data later on N9 and trying to connect resulted in the here discussed error.

Hi all, about two weeks ago I entered all my account definitions for the first time. Suddenly, a few days later, I've got prompted recurrently for a account password. Three days ago I decided to reset my N9 and did setup my accounts again. Today now I was adding some RSS feeds and sending some emails and - oops - the familiar and irrevocably password prompt here again...

Any news from Nokia support/development concerning this annoying issue?

Oh, and while I finally managed to get both the Nokia account and twitter to work (by clearing the phone and making sure I made no errors whatsoever while registering the accounts, using mobile data instead of wifi), now calendar synch via CalDAV doesn't work - the N9 never contacts my server....

I suppose this is caused by redundant e-mail account definitions: if you have defined your e-mail account and, for example, your Facebook account refers to the identical e-mail address, then the N9 account manager seems to end up a little bit disoriented...

What to do if I cannot connect to my Nokia account in Nokia N9?

If Nokia account connection in Nokia N9 fails constantly with the error "Service currently unavailable" even though the internet connection is working properly (checked e.g. with web browser), the phone may need to be reset to recover. This can be done in the following way:

• Take a backup to your PC with Nokia Link (NOTE: Backup is recommended even though you may not be able to restore it because the restoration can bring back the original problem). 
  
• Copy your media files with Nokia Link to your PC (photos, videos, music).
  
• Select Settings > Reset > Clear device to reset your device (NOTE: This will delete all the data from the device, including the media files and map data.)
• After the reset, try the Nokia account connection again.
  

If Nokia account works correctly, copy the media files back to the phone with Nokia Link and recreate the original settings manually. Don't restore the backup. Re-download the required country maps via Wi-Fi connection (select Maps > Options > Manage maps > Options > Add maps.)

This is absolutely useless. I want to use my phone, not to make love with it constantly (with coping files, restoring my maps, apps, settings).

Make an update for the OS and please fix this problem.

Goog news. With the today's OS update I had no problems accessing Nokia account.

Hi I had same issue a few days ago and I fixed it without clearing the device. My Nokia account was working but one day this error suddenly appeared. I was going to reset the phone so went to create a backup then found the backup I created before I had any issues. I restored that backup without resetting and it worked! All the apps and files I added after that backup was still there just need to redo the settings I changed after that backup.

I had the same problem for almost two weeks. Yesturday I've updated the Firmware and my Nokia account is working perfectlly now.

So UPDATE your device, this fixes the account troubles.

And if this doesnt solve the problem? I updated Meego to the latest version, reset the phone and tried to login at the startup. Same thing appeares.
