There is no secret "reserve battery" in those phones, and no secret or public codes to turn the non-existent battery on, either. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

That code does actually the opposite :
*3370# This Nokia code activates Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) - Your Nokia cell phone uses the best sound quality but talk time is reduced by approx. 5%
If you tried this, while not knowing this you can deactivate it again by using #3370#

I'm not sure even that (codec selection/activation) works these days.
As far as I'm aware, for the last 10+ years or so, GSM/WCDMA phones have been required to inform the network which audio codecs they support, and then the network tells the phone to use whatever codec of those the network decides that the phone should use, without allowing the phone to participate in the selection process.

*3370# worked on my Nokia 3315 & yes it used to give me some reserve battery(that was in 2004). But it doesn't work on any of the phones now.
You may believe it did, but even in 2004, the 3315 had no reseve battery, and the code was still for selecting an audio codec, and has nothing to do with batteries (except, as described, some codecs might require more processing and that way consumes more battery, than others).

What do you mean, exactly, Yinusa?
What is your definition of "flashing"?
If you mean flashing (updating) a new firmware version on the phone, then there are no codes for doing that. You do it by using, e.g., the Nokia Software Updater application (comes with Nokia PC Suite, Ovi Suite and Nokia Suite), or if the phone has support for it, it can also be done over the network (over-the-air, OTA) without a PC.
If that's not what you're after, please explain.

The 12345 code does not work on my N8. I haven't changed it. The N8 phone accepts any numbers touched in. Phone states 'code error' and continues on regardless. This is obviously a known fault with the N8, Nokia has taken no action against this problem, only offered poor useless advice and often redirecting fault on the owner(Nokia loyal Customers). In these iPhone times Nokia must do better.
Stop holding off the inevitable RECALL the N8 phone

When are you being asked to provide the code? If it is on start-up, then check whether you are being asked for the PIN code ot the Lock code. The PIN code relates to your SIM card, and should be shown on the paperwork that you received from your network operator with the SIM card. If you cannot find your PIN code, you should contact your operator for further advice.
If the code in question is indeed a lock code (sometimes called security code), then the default code for all Nokia devices is 12345. If this is not working for you, you should consult your local Nokia Care point, details can be found at: http://www.nokia.com.au/support/repair-and-recycle
