Hello,
I have been surfing the net and i got across a website selling white casing for the N86 which is more appealing than the black(IMO). I phoned the local NCC here in Mauritius and they are saying that it would cost approx £70, just to change the casing!!!
On the website, its ~ $28 with shipping!
So, is it advisable to change the casing?

For your warranty to be valid the casing has to be supplied and fitted by the care point. They will also need to update your phones details on the system to reflect the colour change. Some care points have been known to break this rule and fit 3rd party covers, but the warranty will still be void.
Nokia do not sell parts like that directly to the public so all you can do is search google, find a store and hope for the best if you aren't bothered about a warranty.
We cannot link you to any parts stores here as it's against the rules.

Ok, thank you. I will try to find one! They are very unprofessional here in mauritius at the NCC and its very expensive to change the casing!
Last time I went there, a guy came in with a Nokia 3110 with some memory card issues. To my great surprise, the so-called professional said to the guy that it was a virus! Damn! A virus on the S40 platform! I even got into a fight with'em!
Well, forget that. just to show you how pro they are!

A full casing change, when done properly, is very expensive. I've only ever done it once by getting a beige 6680 changed to a black one.
That care point story reminds me of when carphone warehouse were the care points in the UK. They were always spouting unbelievable, unprofessional rubbish like that when they weren't voiding peoples warranties.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Hi, do you think they will change the slider mechanism too? I asked them and they said yeah! But, I don't trust them at all!

Well, I thought a full housing change will need a new slider mechanism cause mine is indigo!
