Infact you could easily look it up on the manual or the nokia website.

>>WCDMA 2100

Are you sure about this?... 'Cause I've got an N73-5 (which means RM-132 firmware), and in the manual (the paper version) it says "...supports EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz wireless mobile networks".

And as we know, in America the bearers use the 2100 Mhz frequency in order to mount the 3G network (while in Europe, the 1900 Mhz frequency is used). So, it wont' work with 3G.

Re: Nokia N73 Product Code RM-132

In Fact US uses 850/1900 3G while Europe and Asia use 2100Mhz. In any case RM-132 does not support CWDM in ANY configuration. I am in the process of finding out if it is a software "fix" to remove cwdm 2100 or hardware was modified as well.

Re: Nokia N73 Product Code RM-132

I may not have good news. Last month I was in Tokyo. I tried to use the phone with two separate SIM cards: China Mobile and T-Mobile (US). Someone told me that if I use 3G SIM it would work. Not for me. In both instances I could not use the phone. I then tried my E61 and it worked without any problems. My verdict is WCDMA does not work on this phone. Can it be flashed? I gave up after not being able to find an answer that I liked.

Re: Nokia N73 Product Code RM-132

hmmm ! thanx for the info pal. It means we have been tricked into buyin a non 3G handset by Nokia. Certainly not fair. I asked them if they will replace my handset with a RM 133 one, still waiting for their answer.
