I bought a Nokia 6700 slide mobile on the 26th of June, 2010. I had a great liking for this phone before buying it. The 5MP Carl Zeiss optics camera, ALS display and so many other features impressed me. But when I purchased this mobile for my birthday on June 26th, I was very much disappointed with the camera quality. Despite having a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, the pictures taken by the camera are of very poor clarity. The clarity is similar to a 1.3 MP camera and is worse when pictures are shot in any lighting condition. I had great hopes on this camera after reading so many good reviews from several websites. But, this camera is not on par with my expectations and has failed me. My Nokia 7210 Supernova mobile which I had earlier used to take pictures of excellent clarity.
Are there any adjustments to be made before taking a picture? I've used all modes specified in the Options but to no avail. Any help from your side would be greatly appreciative.

I get great pictures by setting the "user defined" scene mode ( instead of auto) and setting the self timer for 2 seconds. The self-timer will greatly reduce the camera shake by pressing activate key and the user -defined settings to set the camera without a flash. The flash will sometimes turn on as to assist the focussing in poor lighting conditions. You can customise the menu to make the scene mode as the 2nd icon and the self timer as the 3rd icon
