Were you updating the fw through ovi suite or nsu?

Did the phone reconnect and finish the update, or did it stop half way? - Did you disconnect the phone from the pc?

If you where updating the fw, this might be worth taking a look at; Psychomanias guide from the "pool of knowledge" /t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/Recovering-from-a-failed-firmware-update/td-p/398147

Now, if you have disconnected the phone, and it has been a while since you tried to update:
In short terms, I would see if the phone "speaks" with the pc, and make a backup of the phone content - if you haven't already done that in the first place.

Then I would hard reset it. - Then I would reboot the computer and follow what the guide says about disabling everything than can possibly interfer with the update. - Please do not run any other programs etc while updating.

I would the connect the phone and try updating it again, if the phone doesn't seem fine after the hard reset.

If anything else goes wrong, or this wont fix it, you will have to take it to a Nokia care point.

Anyway, read the guide first, and notice that a hard reset will wipe your phonememory (therfor the backup). - Even if the guide doesn't mach your case exactly, there are steps and tips you can adapt to try to get it working properly again.

If you've weren't updating the fw, but something else, you will most likely fix it by uninstalling the app, or if not - hard reset it.
