N97 Loose Lock Switch?

Just wondering if any of you guys have a loose lock switch. I know im being a bit **bleep** but i was wondering how you guys dealt with it. Did you just accept it or just try to get a replacement? its loose enough to move upwards about 2mm (little i know, but noticable)

Re: N97 Loose Lock Switch?

yes it is, you can feel it. again for now it is not worrying me as it is the second n97 and both had this happen so i assing it to design. if it continues to the point when it stops working as a lock key then i will be rather annoyed with this

Re: N97 Loose Lock Switch?

I also have the same issue and it has happend on the first one and the replacement which now has the latest firmware. As far as I can see is nothing to do with the key being loose. When operating normally slight vibration gives the imptression of stiffness. I belive there are major problems here and I am getting rather anoid by all these niggeling problems.

Re: N97 Loose Lock Switch?

Hey I am having the same problem, :smileysad:  this is my second N97 and I returned the first one because I was able to hear the vibration every time I was touching the screen. really anoying.

On the second one, the vibration was gone,(just normal) barely noticeable. but now, almost a month ago, I am starting to have the same issue.

do you guys have the same problem? Note that I have the vibration mode at the lowest level.

I am thinking of return it and go for a pre or maybe , I do not want to say it but iphone might be an option ( going to the dark side)

Re: N97 Loose Lock Switch?

I also have huge problems with the lock switch. Sometimes its not responsive and sometimes it take awfull long time to unlock. I have found it very buggy when recieving a incomming call. its not my phone only a co-worker has the same issues. I think its a software problem, because of the delay of the locking and unlocking function is random. I have the v. 11 firmware. :smileysad:
