Hi guys,

I am now geting a network with full signal on my phone, but i m trying to dial out and i just get a plain message saying Connection Error

Anyone know of the problem?

It's usually when the phone is having trouble with a 3G signal it gets this error.

To see if thats the problem try to disable 3G.

Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Network > Network Mode - Set it to GSM

Is it doing it everywhere you do or just at your current location?

It way be a problem with the local transmitter.

Everywhere. My girlfriend is on o2 and hers makes calls

Try it with another sim card from the same network that you are on to rule out a sim problem.

You may want to backup your phone and perform a full hard reset if it isn't a sim issue.

Hard reset:

1. Switch off the phone.

2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.

3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.

4. Release when the phone shows the nokia logo or shows other signs of life like the language selction screen.

Would i need to back it up, as i have installed no other software on it!

You need to back it up if you have the spiderman 3 edition of the phone to avoid losing it's license key. The movie won't play without it.

how did u find out the phone was black listed?

my fone is doing the same, only i ran mine thru 'checkmend' and it came up clean, not stolen, etc

I did as described here as holding down the green button and star and 3 and power up and

have now lost all conact in my sim card from the phone and on sim card.

I bet there is no way back to get contact back is there
