N86 Realplayer issues

I got an N86 from Carphone Warehouse on 3 network. the phone had v11 firmware and worked perfectly apart from the FM Transmitter. (hard to do hard reset if i wanted to use that feature)

however, I had that phone stolen and no insurance on the handset. (bad mistake i know!)

I therefore bought a 3 branded handset and it has a few bugs yet the latest? firmware of 11.043.

Realplayer wont play videos, just the sound. yet these are the same videos that were played fine on my previous n86 handset!! Maps doesn't show street level roads/street. Only shows them when i zoom out by a quiet a bit! but no road names. Can't seem to update Maps and have tried re-installing 11.043 firmware and still ahve the same problems. Also tried the hard reset *#7370#, no joy.

BUT, FM TRANSMITTER works every time on this handset!!

Nokia, what is going on with this handset/firmware?!?! When is another upgrade likely to be out?

Can i take to a nokia Care Point for repair or replacement??

my patner has an N86 on Orange and the camera button doesnt work!! When you press it it only auto focuces the pic and not actually take anything?!?!?!

I have had an N86 on Orange for a few months I upgraded via the handset on 6/11/2009 to version 11.043 now the videos that played before the upgrade no longer work I need a fix for this ASAP sick to death of nokia promising new features in upgrades which only ruin a perfectly acceptable handset iphone me thinks

Re: N86 Realplayer issues

First of all Nokia is not responsible for the firmware on branded handsets, the carrier is.

So  you guys should actuallybe angry at them and not Nokia.

Networks have been known to take very long to provide firmware updates even after Nokia has released one sometimes they don't do it at all.

Contact your networks and let them know about this bad software

Show your appreciation. Hit that kudos button real hard
