I have a Nokia N85. When i Insert a SIM, the signal bar doesn't show any singal. not even a single bar. But it says 3G and it asks whether to copy SIM contacts to phone. Does anyone know how to fix this? My phone doesn't have a battery back cover. Is it the reason which it doesnt show any signal? Please help..

goto network connectivity seting and search for network mannually.
Is your operator's name in the list?
Select it and see registration process (may be rejected for some reason, if so call your service provider and get clarified)

Please note that the Bluetooth, WLAN, GPS, and FM transmitter antennas are located in the back cover of your device.

But I transfered files from another phone to N85 through bluetooth. It worked fine.

in network connectivity setting switch network mode to dual or gsm mode if it is in 3g mode

I tried switching to every mode.. but it didnt help..

If possible Swap the SIMs with Friend or Family member to confirm if the problem is related to the SIM or the Phone..
