I'm not able to adjust volume or change songs through my headset buttons...

I have connected the headset properly(till i hear the snap sound).I can hear loud & clear,its just that buttons are not working.

If you are certain that the headset is correctly connected (pushed in as far as it can possibly go) then it is likely that it is faulty.

Contact the retailer or a nokia care point for assistance.

ok i started a new topic a while ago that my headset buttons were not working.even though the sound was loud and clear,the buttons didn't seem to work.I did everythig right,(I plugged the pin properly till I get the snap sound)but no luck..I found the reason behind this yesterday.

I don't know how to explain this but I'll try my best.If you plug the pin slowly(that is first only inserting the pin halfway or more and then snapping)the buttons don't work.

I don't know if anyone has noticed it, but even if you plug in loosely the headset icon on your n8 screen will show up.so even if you plug it properly after that(till it snaps), the headset buttons will not work....in short, if the headset icon shows up before the snap sound, the headset doesn't work.this is NOT how you want to plug in...

Instead snap the headset pin directly(before the headset icon shows up)and the buttons work fine!so remember,no delay..

I don't know if this is a bug or anything but I thought I should share this info. if anyone else has this problem this might be helpful, coz it is very frustrating if you don't know the solution.

Interesting. My headset buttons don't work either. I'll dig them out of the loft and see if your method works.

this thing worked amazingly! thank you so much. now, everything im having concerns with with my N8 are resolved! I love the phone!
