Re: Mini SD card

As far as I am aware there is no way to unlock a password protected memory card (shows security works).
You all say you havetried all possible passwords that you might have used, but, and I apologise if you know and have already tried :-

1) A memory card password can contain letters as well as numbers.

2) When you try to put in what you think is your password the keypad acts the same as writing a text message without predictive text (ie,press2 once for 'a', press2 twice for 'b' etc)

Just a thought that might help

Re: Mini SD card

Thanks my friend but I have even tried using only one stroke (for letters) an three or four (for numbers) and no way.

I remember that I used 1234 or 123456, I was just playing with it and since it did not work, perhaps because I had changed the name of the card, I forgot about it.

In my opinion, the pw got scrambled when I restored the factory setting and the memory card’s name was reverted to the generic one

Re: Mini SD card

Restoring factory settings will not alter the password set on a memory card. It will however lose the card password that is stored in the phones memory, this is why it is now asking for one.
There is no default password on a memory card. The only password is the one you put on.
My advice is don't bother with passwords, security codes and pin codes.......half of people out there don't know which is which and what they are protecting

Hi Venjada,

I too have a lockede SD mini memory card. You're suggestion on not having a password doesn't help me or anyone else I think. Because IT MADE ME put in a password. I kept it simple and had the memory card password be dddd. When I to unlock it the following day with the dddd. It told me the password was invalid. After MULTIPLE time it finally opened with the dddd. I then deleted the password. Only to find the next day my 6265 was requiring the password and dddd wasn't working. I don't want to think I bought a 2gb card for nothing.
