I just gave my daughter a nokia 5230 with the memorycard that followed when we bought it (2GB). She has 17 musicfiles on the phone and when we try to add more songs the message "there is not enough memory. Delete files first" appears in the display. What is wrong, please help?

Sounds like the songs are being saved in the Phone Memory rather than the Memory Card. Use the File Manager and move the songs from the Music folder in the Phone Memory to the Music folder in the Memory Card.

Thanks for your reply. When I check memorystatus it says free Phonememory 52 MB and free on memorycard 1239 MB.
What is file manager? ![]()

I found the file manager now. But the files IS on the memorycard under file "attachments". What can be wrong then?

Attachments? How did you transfer the songs to your phone?

They transferred the songs from the old phone by Bluetooth and they ended up in "attachments" on memorycard.

Oh yes, that is correct, but you can now move them to the music folder if you wish. Using the file manager, browse the phone memory and see if there are any user files in the phone memory which can be transfered to the memory card. Also clear browser cache.
Also have a look at the link below.

You should consider other ways of transferring music to the memory card, like using a card reader or connecting phone to pc in mass storage more and copying straight to the card.
