I would like the mobile experts over here to clarify my doubt regarding the internal memory of mobile phones.
The internal memory differs from phone to phone in nokia or any other brand for that matter. For instance, the memory in Nokia C5-03 is mere 40 MB whereas in Nokia C7, it is a whopping 8 GB. My question is this: whether browsing the internet and zooming on webpages is affected by the amount of internal memory? Also, what difference does it make to a user of a phone with a 40 MB memory and an 8 GB memory if his main use is browsing the net.
Kindly clarify in detail the implications of the internal memory of mobile phones.

M8,
Your right that it differs from phone to phone. What you didn't take into account the version of os (& kind e.g IOS, android or symbian) also differs in the amount of memory it needs to function properly. Lets just give the comparison to the MS Operating systems windows. Win XP needs small amount than the latest OS say Vista or Windows 7. Any features or gizmo added to the OS requires added memory. Apps that need to run need not take large amount of memory that give little amount for the os for its work area or it will crush. Browsing the web is graphic intensive it needs memory than just receiving text or mms messages. Some of the web pages also does not have version for small device like smart phones. Be it in smartphone, laptop, or tablet the more memory you have the better.
