Hi I'm getting a very similar problem, downloaded new ovi store 1.07 as prompted, showed it had downloaded but the screen is blank, if i close it and go to ovi it tells me to download again. I cannot access ovi at all, all i see is a blank screen. Have tried turning it on and off it makes no difference... Oh great phone has totally locked.

Reporting:
Did not worked!
I've done a backup of my contacts (using iSync, cause i'm on mac), removed the micro sd card and after that - a hard reset.
Sreen is still blank.
Can this mean that electronics or screen is a problem it self?

Thanks for the tip, but I'm afraid that it won't work.
I can't turn the phone on with a sim card inside, 'cause I can't enter the pin code, because I don't see the virtual keyboard 0_o
I can't make an update in NSU with a phone in offline mode, and to change it to online mode I need a sim card inside, and to turn it on I need to enter the pin code, and.... the circle goes on ![]()
On the other hand, when black screen problem was occurring just from time to time, a made a system update directly from the phone, and it didn't helped.
Well, anyway, big thanks!
It's time for a trip to nokia service, or to finally buy an iPhone ![]()
Cheers!
