I have a Nokia N97. Everything is great so far and I have no issues except....On the home screen in the connectivity area I have a permanent, very annoying, flashing envelope symbol. When I ope the connectivity area it shows 'SIM memory full' by the envelope symbol. I've checked and I have no Contacts stored on the Sim, they're all stored on the phone. Is there any way to dismiss this irritating warning?

This question has been asked many many times about the N97 and other models.

The cause is that you have used your sim in an older phone that stores a limited amount of messages on the sim card.  To solve the problem all you need to do is:

Menu > Messaging > Options > Sim Messages

Delete all of the old messages you find in that menu.

Thank you I have had flashing "SIM FULL" warnings for some time now  on my 5800 expressmusic and at last i have found the solution.
