Pls, i need d code to make my stolen Nokia 6300 useless for the thief that stole it. I learnt there is a code i can use wt d phone's serial number. I stil have the phone's IMEI number. Thankz.

That there is such a code is nothing but urban legend.

All you can do is contact your operator and give them the IMEI number. They can block your SIM from working so that whoever has your phone now can't run up a huge bill for you, and they can make the phone useless on their network (but not necessarily on anyone else's network).

Also report the theft to law enforcement. In some places, whenever someone is apprehended and has a mobile phone on them, they check the phone's IMEI number against a database of reported stolen phones.

Even on smartphones (which the 6300 is not) which can run 3rd party applications to lock the phone remotely (which the 6300 cannot), all the thief has to do is have the phone software reflashed and he has a usable phone to sell on.

Unless you are a politician, celebrity or leading businessman, thieves are not interested in your phone data or your SIM card, they are interested in the phone itself which will be wiped, sold and in use again - in some cases before you even know it's gone.

Contact your operator. They can blacklist the IMEI which will prevent the phone being used on any operator which supports the blacklist. In practice this may only work on a country-to-country level, and even then, this can be cirumvented if they change the phone's IMEI, but this is the best you can hope for.
