It seems to be quite tight, indeed. But I was able to get mine out with a little bit of trying. First time I tried to remove it from my E75.
There're no latches or locks or anything that keeps it in place. I just pressed down hard on the visible part and tried to slide it down.
After a few attempts, it started moving and came out.
A pair of tweezers probably helps.

Yes, very badly designed, I cannot believe how hard it is to get the SIM card out!
I had to remove it when I went to a Mobile operator store, I borrowed a paper clip and straghtened it out and used one of the ends to drag it out. An opticians/jewellers mini screwdriver does the trick as well.
Still a pain though!

Brilliant tip about sellotape! Worked a treat.
**bleep** phone! Just about to receive my 3rd replacement in 2 weeks cos it keeps crashing whatever I do!

The tip of using the cello tape was very good. Hope Nokia engineers understand the further value engineering the users have to do due to bad design.
