we have 4 Nokia 6085 units in our household -- and 2 of them are getting this "question mark in a yellow folder" icon at power-down time -- couldn't find anything in the manual, nor with googe search. phone seems to work fine.
any ideas (especially answers!) appreciated.....

I found a fix, just go and change the wallpaper on your main screen. turn off phone turn back on. you may need to do this two or three times. This has worked for me four times, with two phones. seems there is some sort of timer, it happens to me every six months or so.
Each time you turn your phone on change the main screen wallpaper and power down. When the ? in a bag goes away return to your wallpaper setting of your choice.
This problem is happening in more than just one Nokia model, mine is a 6363
Let me know if this works.

Thank you, thank you! That fixed my situation.
In one case, I picked no wallpaper (the blank screen) and when I started up again, I got the question mark to begin with, too!
In any event, I think it was flowers and it went away. I then returned to my original user-supplied galaxy photo.
Back in biz!
Now, is there any way to remove all that AT&T and Nokia stuff? I mean, come on, the front piece of my cell says both, and I know who made the phone and which network I'm on, so you don't have to remind me! :-)

Well, I went through this again today! It seems related to having to fix the phone's loose internal screws. When that happens, the person on the other end can't hear you.
In any event, this time, it was clear that I had to pick the Flowers (one of the standard pics), then shut it down. The question mark still appeared.
Then, turn on again, select a different wallpaper (in my case the galaxy shot again). This time on turn off, the ATT logo appeared.
I really need to upload a different galaxy shot as the central option icon blocks my galaxy!
Oh, well. Wish I could figure out how to remove scratches from the screen. This phone has been a workhorse... just wish that it had a decent camera in it. And that it had a music player that would remember where one was! Oh, well, iPhone here we come! :-)
