My music player and fm radio are not working; when I try to open any media file the screen goes blank and a pop-up says "not enough memory", however, when I use the music keys, media works though without displaying either the music player or fm radio.

I'm not using any of the phone memory, and have more than 400 MB free memory on the memory card.

What should I do?

I am having the same trouble too. Tried to reinstall the phone's software through nokia software updater but It doesn't respond.

I'm having the same problem with my Nokia 5220 XpressMusic. I have Updated my Phone Software to v7.23 and performed a full reset. Still no luck.

Yo people, I got exactly the same problem, and I only restored my nokia 5130 back to factory settings, it took away most of the apps that came with the phone aswell, but that's another story I'm still trying to put together, anyways, I'm no I.T. genius or cellphone technician, but I think I know how to solve this mess, its the music player skins that got deleted somehow, and its located in the cellphone's hidden folders, I think its like 3 seperate skins you'll need to put back, but it's a massive mission. I'm gonna try that, and see if it works, and if it does, I'll reply again...

hai my name is i sree raja hhey gys i solved that problemm.... ..noneed of formatig,or renstall the cell just a backup file of 2kb will repairs it......... iam also facing the same problem with my 5130 xpress music cell but iam get rid of that.......... music player and radio is not working for that i have a done is . i backup the setings file in my frnds cell after that he gave that backup file .. load in your cell and just click restore ,say continue or ok what it ask u t say............ . iam giving you tha url here anjoy guyssss http://www.megaupload.com/?d=21DSJGQ3

firstly move all your date 

n then update your handset rm version

after that give hard reset n then your phone will be ok otherwise 

submit ur handset on any  nokia care branch
