sms sent off prematurely

My new E6 keeps sending off my SMS  BEFORE I have even finished typing the whole message. I can't find the cause but when I am typing some letter in the word, it sometimes sends the sms off. I cannot find any place at "messaging" or at "phone" to fix this. Isn't there a way to make the phone ask you if you want to send off your sms before it does?  Also, is there no way to make it any-key-answer as I could with all my previous Nokias? Now I have to press the left button and then a picture pops up asking if I want to "answer" or "reject". Why so troublesome??

when it sends prematurely is it possible that since the E6 is a touch screen device that one of your fingers is inadvertently touching the area of the screen where the 'send button' is?

I have been using an E7 for a week now and this morning I was in the middle of typing and my mistake my finger touched the screen location of the 'send button' on the new text message screen.

I've also noticed that when you are using the conversations screen in the messaging application, if you are typing a message and then your finger inadvertently hits the 'back button' (which I find quite easy on the E7), that everything you typed is wiped out.  No drafts folder seems to exist for conversations, but that is another issue.
